Melrose, The Bronx, Construction is progressing at 625 Brook Avenue, a 13-story residential building forming part of the second and final phase of the La Central development in the Bronx.
Designed by MHG Architects and FXCollaborative, the building will provide affordable housing alongside community-focused spaces, contributing to the larger La Central master plan, which will ultimately deliver more than 1,000 affordable homes.
The building’s distinctive red and black brick façade is designed to complement the surrounding La Central campus, while landscaped outdoor spaces and community facilities will create an active, connected residential environment for residents and the broader neighborhood.
Construction is currently progressing with the structure topped out and exterior framing underway. Building C is targeted for completion in December 2027.
As part of one of the Bronx’s significant affordable housing developments, 625 Brook Avenue continues the transformation of the Melrose neighborhood through the delivery of thoughtfully designed residential and community spaces.
